Abstract

In this study, an energy audit of a distillery for production of essential oils from plant raw materials - rose and lavender was carried out. The equipment of the enterprise envisaged by the project will operate with two types of energy - electricity and thermal energy. Energy consumption analysis is based on electricity and heat consumption of lighting fixtures and technological equipment. The problem areas during the technological process for obtaining essential oils in the enterprise have been examined. The specific energy costs per unit of production and the total energy costs in the enterprise have been determined. Energy saving measures were proposed to reduce the energy costs of electricity and consumed heat energy (natural gas consumption) in distillery. A technical and economic analysis of the energy saving measures was carried out, calculating the total energy savings, economic profitability, payback period, energy savings ratio, energy savings potential and saved carbon emissions into the environment.
