Concrete recycling has been an important research topic considering minimizing energy consumption and its negative effects on the environment. After the February 6, 2023, earthquakes in Türkiye, construction and demolition waste (CDW), which is a huge amount, has been a major concern in order to eliminate environmental problems but also benefit from its possibilities as recycle concrete aggregate (RCA). Fly ash (FA) and blast furnace slugs (BFS) are one of the most used additives in RCA. This paper aims to examine both material properties and environmental performance of RC with a new bio-based fiber additive, fava bean husk fibers (FBHF). The study has two phases: (1) concrete mixture with FA and BFS are analyzed to have optimum performed sample and (2) C50S50 cod-ed sample is selected to create concrete mixture; FBHF are applied as secondary additives to the selected concrete mixture with different ratios, 3%, 6%, 9%, and their properties and environmental performance are evaluated. The findings point out that C50S50 coded sample is selected to create concrete mixture with FBHF. According to the analysis, S50FB3 is a good alternative to design non-loadbearing building materials. The use of concrete mixtures that contribute to the recycling of waste such as BFS and natural fiber, FBHF, used as admixtures contributes to reducing the environmental damage of these wastes.
