Abstract

Considering human health, it isvery important for individuals to select the products they will use correctlyin order to reduce the effect caused by any allergic or chronic healthcondition. In addition, health problems caused by nutrients are increasing dayby day. Thus, people should carefully check the components and contents oftheir purchased products in case of any health problem. In this study, it wasaimed to determine the nutrients that could trigger some health problemsrelated to the consumption of dairy products and to prevent the consumption ofthese nutrients. For this purpose, an application which is user friendly andeasy to use in daily life has been developed by using image processing basedtechniques. The mobile application, called "Dairy Products", wasdeveloped using Tesseract's Tess-two library on Android Studio with Javalanguage. It was aimed to perform content analysis of dairy products byapplication developed using Optical character recognition (OCR). The objectiveof OCR system for general purpose is to convert scanned or photographed picturedformat documents into corresponding usable symbolic representation. With thisapplication, the dairy products that should not be consumed as a result of thecontent analysis can be determined specifically for the person.
